have you thought about how the Manual 6 Speed will go inputting 630NM!
heard the 4 Spd Atlas isn't up to the task either, 2 Speeds better.
would of thought any welding to Chassis would need to be done by a certified welder with a compliance certificate, is your Engineer ok with you welding it yourself?

That's alot of money to spend on a new car, considering you are swapping the entire driveline, plus I assume your doing a lift too and tyres. Almost a new jeep just doing that, though I herd you can keep the stardard auto with the new jks?
I am a lil worried about the gearbox, as its my weak link, but its the only one that fits at the moment. Ls wrangler in america are currently trying to squeeze a t56 behind the hemi and Chevy engine, which I would jump on straight away, but sounds like its gunna be some time yet.
The 4 speed atlas has been redesigned and is just as strong as the 2speed so not worried about that.
Engineer didnt seem to worried about the welding, more fussed about the lane change, emissions/noise test and pit pass. I've seen worse welds on the sites I've worked and pass with flying colours, so im pretty confident I have correct penetration if it does get tested.
