Good advice that mine pissed out oil as the first time the mech did it as he didn't roll up any paper. When it went back in the boss told his mech to roll up a piece of A4 paper and do what you suggested XJeepers.

Yet another question. Any tips on removing tge seal? Mine appears to have black rubber sitting iver the seal.

A chisel tapped in under the outside lip works well, then lever it up.
