This comes up a bit, and mine does it too. The only thing that ever stopped it was having the rear drums properly adjusted. That only lasted so long and it returned again. I've had a go at adjusting them again myself with only limited success. I've decided I have to live with it unless I do the disk conversion.

Uuuuum its not the break drums, I have rear disk breaks...

I will get to the bottom of it. Rattles and squeaks have become my speciality. This one I really want to solve, because as you all know it’s a thump and a sensation through the car that is a bit un-nerving…as you expect the next one to be a metal shattering BANG! I want to solve this mystery for all of us...
