Nope sorry mate ZJ & XJ have the same Pitman Arms (with is different from the TJ).
Rob, have you pushed the front diff forward at all? Usually the TRE hits the original axle dampner mount before the swaybar link (hence relocation the dampner is a good idea).

You sure about that?

I just asked my friend and he said, "A zj pitman arm is about a 1" drop from the xj one. I know because I ran one when I had a trackbar drop bracket."

Maybe they're not the same over there?

and finially an aftermarket XJ arm measureing at 4.5".
This aftermarket one is from rusty's and should be pretty close to the drop from a ZJ arm"

The part numbers for the Xj pitman arm and the Zg (no Zj's outside the US) pitman arm are different, from memory though the ones I had were around the same offset but I didn't measure them....

Pretty sure Wooders knows what he's talking about
There are a lot of subtle differences between US and export models.

I'ts hard to tell precisely from just the pics, but to me the caster looks a little wrong, and the rotating of the diff will mean that the draglink is closer to the mounts.
Try adding a little more caster.

I have now adjusted one of the steering stops so prevent getting hooked up like that again.
I have also removed the return-to-center portion of my steering damper to see if that cleans the steering feel up.

I think my only option to remove the interference is to drop the pitman arm as that will move the components away from the sway bar bracket.
You can use a cj power steer pitman arm it will only drop it down just under a inch but will roll your tierod n drag over as it at a different angle where draglink bolt on ( same offset as Xj )

Yeah, i'm not trying to bash him and sound like some all knowing dude over here, but over here in the U.S it's pretty well known that a stock ZJ pitman arm gives a 1" drop over the XJ pitman arm.

It must be different over here. He had me convinced i was going crazy, so i whipped out my cherokee builders guide book, and i found what i was saying. I circled it in red.

Sorry mate but it is a LHD/RHD difference.
In the US, I believe the XJ & TJ use the same pitman arm, whereas here the ZJ & TJ use the same Pitman (with 1" extra drop over the TJ unit).
