Brackets are done and welded to the bumper. I'll probably add some additional reinforcement though from the brackets to the face of the bumper. The piece hanging below the bumper will be a recovery bracket, basically it'll have a hole for a shackle to go in. It may not look that thick (or finished) but there is a second plate on the other side welded to it (and both bolted and welded to the main bracket) giving a total of 12mm for the recovery point.

The flat brackets running parallel to the bumper bolt to the facia of the jeep where the stock reinforcement goes for the optional recovery hook.

Here you can see the bracket hanging down, it needs to be shaped, shortened (a lot) and trimmed (angled at the front etc) so it 'becomes' one bracket and not two plates. Then I'll weld them together.

Tomorrow I'll finish drilling the mounting holes and tidy it up with some grinding and then it's ready for paint

Cheers
Steve

It is coming along nicely so far mate.
If they inflate earlier that means they deflate earlier. Bags dont stay inflated once they have been set off. As long as you aware of that.
As for the bar Steve. What an awsome effort. Real neat job. Dont forget pre paint check list.
Antenna mount or holes
Light tabs or holes.
Other acc's to be drilled and or welded.
You gonna go powder coat or pssst pssst spray.

Ready for paint, I did consider geting it powder coated but I'm thinking I may add a hoop to the top later and a skidplate on the bottom of it, I just dont have time this week and need the jeep back on the road Sooo, rattle can bumper paint will do it for now.

One final test fit and a check to make sure it all looks nice

Blurry but you get the idea.

Anyway, first coat goes on this afternoon and then another tomorrow morning and then it's time to fit it (after moving the horns etc and trimming the wheel arch liner)

Cheers
Steve
