Never assume, its very dangerous, check everything .............
I use a fridge switch on my fridge to shut off power when stopped, that way the circuit stays live for use by other things when I want like compressor, lights etc also with the isolator at the fridge it means I have no power loss along the way..... van only sucks power from Jeep for fridge the solar maintains the batteries so no DC/DC charger or any need for power from Jeep at all ($$$$ saved)...
Couldn't see any need as why have Jeep to charge batteries for a days driving when I'm relying on solar to keep them charged up in camp for a week or more at a time, same with 240v charger... Van has never been vehicle charged for 12 years and the last time the 240v charger was used would be about 2 years ago I think for a day when we had about 5 days of solid cloud cover, rain and damn near snow and solar couldn't cut it, we were in a park at the time, out bush I would have moved on days before to escape the miserable weather or got out the L.R.P.S to sort it out .....
Here's my under bonnet Anderson set up, tucks up out of the way but is a usefull connection for up front as well..
