Brake blokes must have been dumb pricks, if the handbrake is on and no brakes working first thing you would check would be tension on cable at the rear !!! it would have been flopping around for the last couple of months. Too many go for the big doom and gloom and don't do the basic checks.

Don't know. I guess they loosened it too much trying to get the new pads back in. Adjustment at the drums was way out as well had to wind it heaps before I started to get any drag. All goo now and I have learned a lot about my handbrake. Back seat bolts were very hard to remove as well. Nothing the 4foot long ratchet couldn't overcome though.
