Wouldn’t be worried about your choice, as I said its generally a personal taste thing. Myself I didn't really like any of the other choices (that would actually fit) and if I had a better preference would go with it as I hate dealing with ARB, bunch of nobs if you ask me. The steel bars seem to weigh around the 65kg mark though I believe the Uneek one is around the 75kg.
Personally I much prefer the look of the WK2 with a bar than without (sets it apart from the typical SUV out there) and gives you somewhere to mount the stuff you need when touring/offroading.
How many roo strikes have you guys experienced/seen? (opinions are great, but usually little value). Seen a few roo strikes with vehicles with various steel bars and they fair much better than your standard alloy bar, depending on the size and your speed don’t even look like the you have hit anything. The ECB option of fitting their bar (albeit probably a stronger alloy bar than others on the market) does not lend itself from isolating more damage to the front end of your car and as such was not wanting to replace it with another. Either way given that I (and plenty of others) have hit a roo in broad daylight still prefer to have that protection and be able to drive on rather than be stranded in the middle of nowhere.
