Thats why I was curious to his choice of vehicle, he bought the 4x4 for on road use only.

I didn't mean beach work as well, I meant as in not even beach work when one of the greatest beach areas is less than 2 minutes from him! I dont think it will ever even see a dirt road as the rocks may chip the mudflaps... that sort of no offroad use!

Just seems such a waste to me, but I guess a sale is a sale and each to their own as to what they wish to do with their vehicles.

A lot of people buy 4x4s for the extra space with large families, as a towing vehicle, etc. the WK2 GC is a very comfortable vehicle and handles exceptionally well I know a few people who have bought them for this reason and traded up from a Ford/Holden station wagon.

I'm just amazed they can find 200 or so people every month who were willing to be seen in a FJ.

It was a toss up between the JK and an FJ for me, the JK won due to visibility from the drivers seat but I still like the look of the FJ.

To me, it looks like someone over-inflated an Echo, but then I don't really like any of the 'retro' caricature cars

I had picked up my JK just before the FJ was released and was quite surprised at the reviews.

Came out top of most reviews including a test I read including a JKU as well.

I still think they look crap, so will never be my choice ( sorry AG)

X2. Sorry, FJ looks like a cartoon version of a real 4X4..
