Just a thought, how old is the battery?

I think I would go to a dealer for a scan if this was happening to me.

Sounds maybe a intermittent fault, has to be scanned when the fault is present, but then jeeps store past fault automatically

Agree time for a dealer scan or carry your own like auto enginuity.

Thanks for your input Clarky.
I had a new battery installed a week ago.

I will get another scan done to see if there is something hiding deep in the onboard computer.

I had a scan done a couple of days ago and 17 codes were found. they all related to the bad battery problem (so I was told) which is now resolved with a new battery.

Because of the bad weather here in North Queensland I have't been anywhere to see if any more codes reappear.

Default Throttle Control Light

Finally have fixed the TCL light/limp mode happening.
I have replaced the EGR valve and after driving approx. 300ks. the light hasn't come on.
The Jeep is more responsive and I hope to achieve better economy.
Removing the EGR was a bit challenging as there is not much room the get the valve out or the new one in, but it's done.

When you wire in the resistor ensure you have cut the wires going to the plug on the swirl motor, and yes clear all codes.
