If you are the Rubiconican then why would you vote yes to coming to Tassie?

You never seen the shirt and window stickers 'I am the Stig'? No one knew who the Stig was, so it could have been anyone. Hence a lot of people claiming to be the Stig via stickers on cars and other paraphernalia :)

It's a joke, I'm no more the Rubiconicon than I am the Stig :)

As I said in another post, I am more than happy to go to Tassie a week early to familiarise myself with a trip to lead if this is going to help get it going in Tas.

I thought I must have been missing something. I have seen somewhere on AJOR "I am the stig" quoted. Either that or I too have seen a sticker or tshirt somewhere, FIIK where though.

I know I have not been to a Jambo yet but if I had my choice a simple Jambo with some good trips, some good camping and a few laughs all round sounds like its worth the trip.

A few ideas if you do go ahead and you want a Saturday meal, get in touch with the Rover (18-26 Scouting organisation) and their catering side. They do a knock up feed for a bargain price and supply all the gear. As for music, the live band is cool but the conversation would flow around a big central bonfire and some tunes on the side.

A simple Jambo sounds perfect over one thats over commercialized...

OK so who ever is going to be the lead organiser needs to contact Jeep, maybe even contact the MJOC guys as they seem to have a good relationship with them.
See what Jeep can offer and then go from there.
As has been said get either Rotary or Scouts/Rover involved, great way to cater for very little expense.
Contact a local footy club to see if you can use the grounds for show and shine, or local showgrounds, contact local caravan parks to see what sort of deal they will do for the event. You would be surprised how accommodating they can be.

Organise a few trips on the Saturday and Sunday, JAMBO DONE!!!

I've been part of many Jambo's that were run on a shoe string budget and way before the Chrysler/Jeep involvement. Only takes a few people with an interest.

More than happy to help out, just won't be able to get there in person until the actual event.
