yeah i saw the same thing on a jk at a car show.

My airbag cover was scratched when i bought it, which they reoplaced under warranty, tho it did take about 10 months to finally organise. Saying that i didnt get any more scratches in that time and in the last 13 months i haven't got any more either. Tho i'm sure it wouldnt be too hard to put some in but i haven't been overly concerned. I know it'll happen but rather enjoy the jeep than wrap it in mothballs!!!

Yup - it seems that Jeep forgot that they had produced a rugged 4x4 yet put an easily scratched up interior in it

Mine looks a bit like a dogs breakfast after almost a year now, it seems that there isn't much that doesn't scratch it! Rings on the wife or daughters fingers have done the bits behind the Jesus bar and the centre console has got a new set of stripes from something or other being rested on top of it....

Oh well - we can't have everything now can we - we do have the most capable 4wd on the market albeit with the poorest plastics

Mine is over 12 months old with nearly 40,000kms on it now and doesn't have any scratches on the plastic inside definatly not from being careful as it's driven every day and we have two boys 3 and 10 years old

We bought a dash mat for ours - fits great and saves a lot of scratches. Got it through Auto1 in Geraldton it cost around $40 if I remember correctly, and yes it it airbag compatible. There are a couple of nylon "stiches" similar to the things that hold swing tags to clothes only slightly finer that hold the piece that covers the airbag cover, they would probably break pretty quickly should the airbag deploy.
