i know that cruiser in the back ground im pretty sure, its running a fully alloy 454 big block imported from the states with all the good stuff, 500+ horses apparently. dunno if it's the same bloke (wally is his name) building it...it's looking tough though...
are you talking flywheel or rear wheels? 500hp at the fly wheel aint much to boast about from a 454 esp when pushing a big heavy bruiser. 7-800 is something noteworthy. A mild supercharged 302 will push 500 at the wheel. An SRT 6.2L is 425hp stock!
LOL 200hp gets me heart racing in an hardcore offroad situation....even at 10km/h
think some of ya maybe missing my point, not disputing 500hp is not a lot of HP, it sure is...but for big cubic inches ie. 454, its far from reaching full potental as far as HP goes. I realise the need for HP for an offroader is different to a street or drag car....
i think the the main point of a big cube motor is the grunt still available at low revs.
this is why big diesels are all the go now.....has the grunt, a turbo will provide the top end performance and the economy isn't too bad (but thats down to driving style)
