Seems the slashed pricing has done wonders for KK sales. September was a record breaking month.
"Jeep is the fastest-growing mainstream brand in Australia this year, up 117.1 per cent thanks largely to the new-generation Grand Cherokee, while in September the company achieved record-breaking sales for both the current Cherokee and the Compass." http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mell...257A8E001E7344

No wonder I've noticed more KKs on the road lately! Pity its not in production anymore.

Can you imagine if they launched the vehicle at that price? We would have had our aftermarket bull-bar and snorkel years ago!

Aye.. a missed opportunity for Jeep I reckon.

Who knows? The Pentastar 3.6 could have been fitted if the KK had done well.

The KK is a fantastic and traditional looking Jeep with its appealing boxy lines.

I went in to my local dealer buy a KK six months ago and ended up with a JKU Wrangler. I changed my mind for two reasons. One - I couldn't get the drivers seat high enough to the 'command' position I like and secondly for what ever reason the salesman was steering me away from the KK and towards a JK.

New to this forum and new to Jeep.

I just paid $35750.00 drive away for a KK Limited Jet.

Looked at Jeep expecting typical USA build. (I live in the USA for 6 months a year). Impressed with the list of 'standard' features and build quality.

Only down side so far is the 17l per 100ks. Petrol. All around town so far.

We want to go places that 'may' need 4x4 and still do it in comfort. Most SUVs seemed a bit 'soft' for what we wanted to do.

regards

Welcome brucet, you'll probably want to change out your wheels soon. Yes the KK's are a touch thirsty but as you say also good value. Mine is nearing 100k and has served me well, I hope to be driving it for a few years yet.
