Steve Im not sure as to what they are. as that was done by the previous owner, But I can tell you from doing this current jeep and how it drives compared to the old jeep you have etc Id say they were 3.73 ratios.

well Just got Back from a trip to the Cape york and Out back Qld, 8500kms later and a Fuel Bill to boot, lol Definately made me decide on the Diff ratios to be up graded to 4.11, so Mr Wooders you will be getting my Ph call for an order real soon.

However apart from the Fuel bill, Jeep ran like a dream, and all the mods perfomed well. I even had to help a couple out on the Kennedy developmental rd out as they got bogged after the rains. So winch got its 1st work out for a real reason.

Your Jeep is looking really sharp there brother, i love seeing the befores and afters. You should be proud of your rig and for sticking to a TJ, well done.

I wanted to ask about your roof rack system, the Wild Boar - can it be removed if you want to drive around without it on? Say for making it into city and supermarket carparks etc? I've been looking at the wilderness and olympic rack systems for some time but i'm unsure which one to go for. How do you rate the wild boar? I'd never heard of it before your post!

Default final stages of build

Well the jeep went in this week to have the diff ratios done, taking them from the 3.07 to 4.11 ratios with a detroit true trac in the front also being installed.

well the gear arrived from wooders about 2 weeks back and all was sent to the diff specialist on monday.

had a slight hiccup as i found out yesterday, YUKON have a great product however the one thing ive not seen anywhere on this forum regarding ratios was how come they send you different size bolts for a conversion when the crown wheel holes are a 7/16th bolt????

for anyone doing a 4.11 conversion on their rear diff may i suggest you buy some threaded sleaves that will convert 7/16th bolts (standard) to the 3/8th (yukon) bolts they supply, this held the job up for 2 days whilst i awaited yukon response from dave. front diff is not an issue its just the rear one when you are keeping the lsd but changing the ratios.

by the way dave thanks for your time and help on this, muchly appreciated.
the threaded sleaves cost about 50 bucks so to make sure you or your diff guy has these when getting the install done, make the job a lot quicker.

should be able to pick the jeep up on monday and use 6th gear........

next project SYE. doing it my self ( praying it will work with out any issues) lol
