Not worth it any more in my opinion.
Yea I reckon too, not worth it.... If you want ecconomy buy a diesel, sure the WG s are not as fast as the V8s ---- But the WHs are

They both have plenty of power, i love my 2.7lt and I run 32's + steel bar and carry 149liters of diesel around and my figures are around 8.9 Hwy and 11.2 city.. Not bad i reckon plus you get 400nm on tap!

i have a 99 xj and had a prins/parnell installed by broadies automotive in hornsby.

works fine.
parnell are imbissibles. they are importers of the prins kit and prins if u look at their home page DOES suit jeeps.

i did a lot of research on it. broadies got the factory settings from prins and it works fine. tehre is some fine tuning needed as if i sudden floor the car, sometmes it'll hesitate. cost me $5100 with underslung 70l tank.

I find it odd cos there are (supposedly) successful WG Overland 4.7L HO V8 LPG conversions in the UK...

I have a 2003 WG 4.7L V8. I went through this caper about a year back and couldn't find any reliable information and almost every conversion shop I contacted (on the west coast that is) had no experience with the WG's and were either not interested or were so vague and full of if's/but's it scared me. So I gave up and installed a long range tank instead.
I've found that fuel economy is not that bad on a country run - its just in city traffic it really sucks and the standard 70L tank is a bit limited for touring but that was fixed with the aux tank. Now I don't have to cop the "Jeep's Suck" jokes from all the long range Prado & Cruiser drivers when I have to radio "fuel stop ahead".

I'm at the point of being interested in dual fuel. Has anyone in WA found a company that can convert a Chrysler fuel management sysytem to dual fuel?

Our WG overland goes in on monday for a LPG injection converson, we've been told we will lose a little power but not enough to worry about. Costing $4500-$2000 rebate = $2500.

You might just have to come to Newcastle.
