Yea, JK's got a shocking ride. Aftermarket suspension can give you a plusher ride to a degree, but only so much.

Took it to SVM today for the creak, but of course I could not make the Jeep do it on smooth suburban roads. Apparently the rattle warranty is 12 months or 20,000klms. I've got another under car rattle that only happens on corrugated roads. I'm wondering now, how do these noises get fixed if the dealers test is only around the suburb, which it is.

dave check your front swaybar links ... mine seem to always need a quick tighten up after corrugations ...

Failing that check for stones sitting on top of any of the heatshields, especially the muffler ...

Owned my JK since Nov 2007. The ride does soften with time, but not to any degree that makes a difference.

Looking forward to upgrading to OME suspension. Softer springs (with longer travel) combined with finely tuned shocks should do wonders.

have a look at the steering dampner. ( i just put another post on here regarding similar issue). sometimes you can see the oil on the dampner.
