The 4WD TV open trip has come and gone.

Sorry to say the Jeepers didn't get the representation we deserved.
There are so many nice Jeeps in Perth and it would have been good to have them seen on a national 4WD TV program showing the rest of the country it's not just about Japanese station wagons in WA.
Being Eastern States based, it's an expensive exercise for the TV show to run events on the West coast so they don't get here too often but still about 50 4wds turned up for a great Valentines Day trip at the ever popular Powerlines Track.

Proceedings kicked off in the morning at Ultimate 4WD in Bibra Lake.
I saw some Jeeps there and was hoping that was a good sign there would be a few coming on the afternoon run.

Nice TJ - this was one of the display vehicles at Ultimate 4WD.

Saw some nice Grands at Ultimate 4WD

The afternoon Powerlines run got off to a late start but even with 50 vehicles in the convoy, we made good time and got through smoothly.
With most vehicles giving the harder stuff a miss, there was generally no waiting for those wanting to have a go at the trickier sections.

As I mentioned in the previous post, the Jeeps were very poorly represented with only my TJ and a Grand Cherokee doing the Powerlines run.

Start point for this trip was at Flynn Rd. \/

Simon Christie gets the 'money shot' as I drive my TJ over a rock step - Can't wait to see this footage on TV \/

I peel off in the TJ to try a challenging climb as the rest of the convoy rolls by on the chicken track. \/

Getting the TJ stuck in a difficult rutted climb.
I didn't make it up this but at least I had a go \/

The only other Jeep in the 50 odd convoy was this Grand Cherokee \/

This Powerlines trip was on 4WD TV tonight - if any Perth Jeepers are interested in seeing it, the episode will be repeated on Saturday arvo at 4.00PM on WTV.
Called 'Ultimate4x4 Day Trip', it's a 5 minute segment in the middle of the episode.

Looks like a great day out.

How did you and the other Grand get away with the stinger bar?
