when you are not used to undressing a jeep it can be confusing the salesman tried to show me when i picked mine up but i was in to much of a rush for it to sink in so other than having bad weather for the 3 weeks ive had mine i get scared to take it off incase it rains and i cant redress the jeep in time. goes for 1000k service monday week it might sink in when i have time to spare

Thanks everyone!!!

Riley and I went on our first "adventure" yesterday up to the Watagans going in from Mandalong...

Unfortunately we were only about 10 - 15 minutes along the fire trail before Riley started crying telling me that he hates it and never wants to go there again... So we turned around and came home.

He didn't really like the bumps and was very concerned that we were lost... Even thought our friend Tom Tom was on and telling us where to go.

So after speaking with my Dad, I think next time we try it, I'll go in from Kulnura?? Dad reckons it might be a bit smoother and help him get used to it.

Does anyone else have kids that were scared at first? And how did you get them used to it???

Kind of sounds like when i took my girlfriend on her first 4wding trip

Air down a bit to make it smoother? You could also think about disconnecting your swaybars to make it a lot easier on him.

Airing down will help like jeff said. The little portable DVD help as well, My two girls hated it at first, now they love it. made the big bump into a bit of a game ...now they cry out for more...Try just going for a short trip into Ourimbah state forest behind Parmdale..it's a little bumpy just at the start them there are some short loop tracks up the top
