I just put in the adjustable rancho rs9000XL with a 3/4" spacer up front in my jeep. It made a world of difference io the way it drives. I can firm it up for the mountain drive to the trails then soften it up when I get there.

It leveled out the look and gave more clearance to my 33" KM2s

Is that just with stock springs or have you changed them previously?

I'm starting to look at which parts to use to get an approx 2" lift. Have had the adjustable ranchos recommended a few times but not sure what springs to use yet. Hate the standard ones as the only seem to work well when the car is loaded to the max. Other than that they have no give at all.

Default 2" coils

If 2" is what you want, and the rancho's are what you want, I would look at the new OME coils that actually give 50mm of lift and not 80mm, or possibly the Dobinsons flexy coils. The Rancho 2" shocks are the same length as stock so probably not what you are looking for. The 3" models are 25" long extended for the front, and 26 for the rear, which is to long for most 2" coils such as kings, tough Dog etc. However ARB coils are a little longer, and so are Dobinsons flexy coils.
I had the Rancho's 9000 adjustables on OME coils and PPM coils and loved them, despite many people calling them a marketing gimick. They were however a little soft for the softer PPM coil so have moved away from them.
I would also recomend a good mono tube shock for the front of a Jk such as the Bilsteins, or PPM's with larger lifts. With the wobble prone JK front end, after mush research i believe that you are far better off with a good shock that has the ability to control movement instantaneously!

I'm just running stock coils. Having had these shocks on a dodge ram in canada I was more than comfortable putting them on my JK. They easily adjust for different loads (which was excelent on the truck going from an empty bed to full load of sand or gravel ect) and no other shock offers that for the low price (quadratec all the way!)

I had just over 80,000km on the shocks when I sold the dodge and the adjustibility still worked fine.
