The culture in which I work means that their is beer or wine each day with the lads in the factory, so getting away from it isn't an option and I'm not really looking to do that. I was just interested to see if I'm on my own here or not. Most of my mates have about 2 to 3 beers or glasses of red each night after work and perhaps on the weekend.
I'd be much the same, as them and don't see a problem with it.

I used to play 2 games of indoor football each week and go for a hr bush run each Sat morning but I've recently gotten over a shoulder reco and am getting ready to start sport again in the next 3 months so fitness isn't an issue. Plus I need to work on my growing red wine gut LOL

mate i dont see a problem having a few cold ones.
How many is too many well depends on the day, when i lost my lisence id have a 6pk of beer or a couple can's of jacks every day never got pissed but i drank none the less.

i dont drink that much now for 2 reasons in the 3months i had no lisence i put on 10kg and im a provisional driver wich means .00 so i only drink when i no im not going anywhere (when i had no lisence this wasnt an issue as i had the girlfriend driving me back and forth to work and everywhere else i needed to go)

Having dealt with an alcoholic father i would have to say that providing your not making excuses to drink (as my father did) and you dont binge all is ok..... peoples bodys tolerate alcohol differently so it is up to the individual not some peice of paper saying you shouldnt have more than two standard drinks a day, bear in mind that was done off averages so some people could only handle half a glass of wine whereas another person could drink three or four with no adverse effects

IF YOU WANT A DRINK HAVE IT

couldnt agree more the people that make excuses are the ones with problems the others that just have a few quiet ones for the sake of having them and will addmit to it are fine i used to drink all the time not so much now

Great to see such honest input on this subject and the focus on positive health, safety and community outcomes. The usual macho/bravado responses are refreshingly absent. All that is left to say is what a bunch of lightweights!
