But anyway...
Yom, you forgot that modern vehicles have a front crumple zone so all the energy absorption is done by the other car. Although I was hit hard, because the other car was doing all the crumpling and the mass of my MQ (approx. 2.5t) I didn't feel it all.

Have you seen Mad Max? You do need body armour on todays roads.

I didn't forget about it I just keep a mental note that my chosen modifications change the way things are intended to work sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse. Plus there's plenty of vehicles running about now which are heavier than a 2 dr JK....I'm sure I'm one of the few people who keeps an eye out on what is happening behind me. Lol

Btw as a fairly incompetent driver I've never felt the need for mad max style armoury to drive to the shops and back...perhaps you should adjust your driving style.

Although..I just remembered the JK has that sturdy crossmember at the very rear so possibly makes sweet FA difference whether its barred up or not.

Hey, the armoury is not about my driving style lol!

It's about being rear ended when parked at the lights or coming out of the shops to get into your car and some clown has banged you up and driven off!

I'd buy a TJ or a Cherokee if I wanted to park it at the shops all the time. Because then I wouldn't care.
