I can't see the bonnet getting the tick, the vents are facing the windscreen and that is not compliant and the front bar is a 50/50 chance.

Okay so I am curious why the law says venting must face forward?

I'll answer this with a whole lot of speculation and what I think I had heard once, I think it's because if something goes bang under the bonnet, then it will reduce the chances of fluid's spraying up onto the windscreen. Hope this helps

Hmmmmm makes you wonder then about the boy racers with their oil gauges outside the windscreen. They are outside in case the oil line blows out and you would not want not oil spraying around inside a car. I had figured that was the reason but am too lazy to be bothered looking it up. I think I would be willing to take a chance and put one on my car anyways. Thanks

Just roll the dice mate, realistically the cops could slap a defective sticker on a brand new car that just rolled out of the factory if they tried hard enough and if they couldn't find anything they'd just make some shit up

Yerr seems ironic when original SLR 5000s had a rear facing bonnet vent as standard and they were ADR approved for the street.

Regards A
