first on the list will be engine/transmission/transfer

that will at least have it running even if i cant keep it in a straight line then hopefully long arms and steering arms (need to look into high steer kits) then
highline/tube fenders/boatside's/37"s

I am thinking of doing a welding course at TAFE. It used to be taught as part of my trade but not anymore. I can silver braze like a demon but have next to no experience stick welding let alone knowing what type of welder to buy myself

id recommend a mig over stick for ease of use no changing electrodes, no striking an ark, no chipping off the slag, no need to wire brush (unless ur ****** just weld it chip off the spatter (can buy a spatter pray to eliminate most of this) u may not even bother with that anyway but i do, then paint it.

u dont have to get a big one about 180amps will do just about all ul need it to but stick to a reputable brand and get the one with the highest duty cycle.
personally i like: lincoln, BOC, WIA, CIG, Kempie, migomeg, go-jeep has a unimig and has no issues with it at all i had one and didnt like it at all never worked right since day dot. however i may have just gotten a bad egg.

Cheers, yeah Im getting $2700 in tool grants over the next month so I need a shopping list I have just about every power and hand tool known to man so its more like welders and other things that dont relate to my trade but will benefit my Jeep/tinkering addiction

well if u think ull get allot of use out of it i highly recommend 1 like mine will weld 10mm plate with only 1 pass (no need for multiple runs) and the duty cycle will never be an issue

I would only recommend in the Unimigs the Workshop series rather than their cheaper line as have seen problems with those. All the others you mention are well worth having.
