warped discs, machine or replace?

I had a good look at my brakes and decided to get the discs machined. it cost me $60 to get them done and the pads had about 2/3 wear left in them so they stayed on. I pulled the discs off and put them back on myself and it was a very easy job.
the result it awesome brakes are like new and no more wobbling when braking and no more feeling like the front end is about to fall apart when I hit the brakes.
only cost $60 and only takes about an hour to pull them off and the same to put them back in as they simply pull off the hub so no need to touch the hubs. very happy
going off the disc thickness this will be the last machining they will be getting so will get a new set next time.

Don't forget to Torque wheels on....110ft/lb...invest in a good torque wrench. First tighten to 40ft/lb...then go around again to 110. I have a 2001 WJ...since doing this I have had no problems with warping....

This doesnt warp. Hard braking from high speed to a stop & keeping your foot on the brake is the killer. Need to let the car move a foot or 2 a few seconds after you stop so you dont have a hot spot on the disk as it cools. Slotted are not that good in mud as the slots fill up & bake hard.

Why do the mail order thing, just walk into an auto parts shop or brake shop and buy the things off the shelf, they are listed and available just like a Ford or Holden, nothing special about them.
