Alternatively you can buy the tow bar and wiring separately for probably half as much as official MOPAR kit and then just wire it up yourself.
Wow! Thats awesome. Thanks for that info. So the Mopar kit comes with a wiring harness/link for the lights. Does it plug in underneath near where you bolt the hitch on?

Yes, from memory you just unplug the two rear light assemblies and add the pre-wired loom into them. Unplug the existing license plate light and plug in the new one that comes with the kit and then fig the trailer harness to the tow bar. All plug and play. No wire cutting/joining needed. I had a little more prating about to do as I wanted to put the licence plate on the spare wheel rather than on the bumper but even then it wasn't hard.

Only thing to be wary of is don't try to save a $ and import the kit from the US or the wiring won't work for Aus spec JK's. Buy it through one of the dealers or the aftermarket guys here though and you'll get the proper Aus spec version.

Too easy. Thanks for explaining the detail involved. I won't have an issue doing any of that myself so unless a stealer will do it for the same price I can buy it for I'll do it myself. Thanks again!

No worries. Always happen to pass on to others when I get good service or deals. You are right about time/place. But I also think they have a bit of a strategy. They were clearly buying up remaining runout stock from Jeep across Australia cause they had quite a few JKs they were selling at heavily discounted prices with aim to move a lot (larger sales, smaller margins). And being November, I'd image 2014 stock must be coming out soon, and there will be little difference to 2013 models, but dealers still need to offload runout models, so you might get lucky. Good luck.

Yep that makes sense. I know the 2014's have very few changes, but the one that interests me the most is the updated EVIC info.. I am also a fan of using a digital speedo so if I can get the right price then I'd like a 14, however a well discounted 13 wouldn't go begging either Thanks mate!
