Ok, so you will have to buy base coat (colour) and clear to go over that.

Try this place for paint Autopro Isa Auto Supplies 14 Marian St Mount Isa 4825 number (07) 4743 6188. I dont no if they mix paint. Just go in there and ask. You can try supercheep and autobarn. You could also look in the yellow pages for automotive paint supplys.

If the panel you bought are metal. They have a factory primer on them and they should be black in colour. Just sand back 320 dry and then prime.

Key thing to painting is prep work and taking your time.

Righto so apparently supercheap (i know i know) do match paint now, giving them the colour code of the jeep WBT (patriot blue) they can mix up 2lts for $180,
They use the duplicolor range of paints which look to be ok,
What primer should be used?
Will Super Cheaps Septone branded stuff be ok?
And also which clear? the Duplicolor stuff has a clear as well but kinda on the expensive side and only comes in 1 Litre tins. I know with paint it is a get what you pay for scenario but I am pretty limited with what i can get easily and not being so remote.

Septone is ok, not the best. But if thats all you can get your hands on in your area it will do. You can get on to supercheaps web page and buy of there or just ask the store to order it in for you.

They have septone clear acrylic 1L for $33.99. Don't forget you will need thinners for the clear. Septone Acrylic Thinners - 4L $29.99. You can use it for your primer, clear and cleaning out the spray gun.

What is the price of the clear by the way?

If your painting the whole jeep. You should be able to paint the whole thing with 2L of paint and clear.

Yes you do. It should be fine to use the same thinners for the paint. Just read the instructions on the can. it should tell you how much to mix in a picture format or written. If you cant buy a measuring stick or container, just make one up from a wood/metal ruler and for the container just and old container like milo tin. Just dont use a taper container as the measurments will be out.

Hope this helps some more.
