I got a couple of small dimples in my bonnet from the hail but I'm sure it would have been a load worse if I hadn't been under the tree.

I got away lucky but I feel for those that didn't. It can do amazing amounts of damage in such a short space of time.

So lucky mate, the troopy ambo I was driving at the time got so trashed I don't think they will repair it. Glad your ride is OK.

Default Brissy hail storm

They think new bonnet, new roof and trims, new tail light, and they reckon they will try to fix all the drivers side panels and doors (im not sure about restoring these without damage to clear coat!). Cant get in until 20 April and they say no jeep parts avail in country at the moment. Well, at least its not a write off that would have got messy.

Edit: the tops of the boot door is damaged too so im assuming they are going to drill in and pop those out.

Sounds to me like fixing it is messy, personally I'd rather it written off than all that waiting and messing around.

They will use Paintless Dent Removal. It's amazing what a good one can do, especially it the can get into the panel from behind.

I know what you mean, but name a vehicle on the market that is as capable as mine, is more torquey, pleasant to drive around town and has a luxury leather interior with the bells and whistles and is 25k (which is around what i'd get)

I agree, if mine were written off I'd pull the mods and move them to a diesel KK. Chances are it'll have less klms than mine too.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your cars. I was at work in Hamilton, 23 cars in the car park more or less write offs. We got 7 under cover before the worst of it hit,(including my motorcycle). We could have got them all inside the factory if time allowed.
I had 4 cars at home parked outside on the day, hail missed us by a km or so. Got to get lucky sometimes.
