Morris4x4 have always done a great job on parts for me......often, I'll buy locally when I look at the price and figure in time/ease of dealing with someone local.....I'll cut the local guys some slack on price because I know there is a cost to warehousing etc. I like to support the convenience of local sellers.
But, sometimes you can't get stuff locally, or it is just price prohibitive......Morris has done a great job on speed and freight rates.
Summit Racing is another company I've used for years.....and now that they use USPS they can get stuff here at good rates.

Appreciate the recognition, LeighP. We always try to make a point to contact us if you can't find locally. We ship fast but understand you may need something today in order to get up and running.
For everything else, we'll price match anybody. As PaulGC stated, AJOR members get another 10% off on top of that, and we have our tech team and customer service team who work together making sure everyone is happy.

I think that a mattress bank in today's world of bank interest on deposits isn't such a bad idea. You seem a very angry person, Wooders. I know u own a business but if you can't stand the heat, perhaps move to a different kitchen.
In a free market, voting with our wallets is perhaps the most significant way that business practices can be changed because, after all, in business, it is the smart competitor and the smart consumer, who will win every time.

For me, it's not just the pricing wars. It is also about the service and the attitude.
When I get no service but instead get crap attitude like "if you don't like here, piss off"., so here I am doing most of my shopping with SBR Offroad to import bulky items such as bars, etc and direct from US suppliers for smaller stuff.
Travel really opens up one's eyes and mind. The service in the US is just awesome. People are polite, pick up their phones, answer emails, design and fabricate great products...they deliver.......
Any discussions about service of a sponsor/vendor/business here usually gets heavy, then locked .
Same 'ol, same 'ol. It's tiring and it's time to move on as I have, people!!

This is just one example of a US business.
1. Great communications
2. Provide Alternative
3. Provide peace of mind
4. Try hard to win your business (money)
5. Provide tech advice
6. Important Customer loyalty
A local business here has an ash tray with the sign "CUSTOMER's ASHES" displayed at the service desk. A touch of larrikin perhaps ???

You know I am a little bitter.
I used to mostly focus on parts, I worked bloody hard, and earnt a very (very) modest salary in return. Then due to a number of reasons I gad the good fortune to get into a legal situation with the ATO which nearly cost me my business and possibly my house.
That combined with an number of other factors is why I now focus more hands-on instead of supply.
Yet you would not believe the amount of nearly abuse I've sustained in the process.
I don't begrunde people chosing to buy where ever they want ....but tell me one more time how everyone that sells parts is trying to rip you blind 😉

I have to replace a seatbelt in the back for rego. Checked online, $89US (on sale! ), plus ~$60US for shipping. ~$190 all up. Called dealer to ask for cost, $120, they said after looking it up. Local price comparable with US! w00t!
Went to pick it up after they called to say it had arrived from warehouse, the next week & the y guy there puts down a buckle end on the bench. I looked at it & asked, "Where's the rest?" Turns out the person who looked it up found the buckle end at $120 & ordered that as a 'seatbelt'. In the ensuing conversation I tld him I had ordered it from them as it was almost the same price as available from the US for a change & he told me that yes their prices are ridiculous & he has often told Jeep guys to order parts from overseas...
I've bought parts from Wooders a few time because the prices he had have been FAR better than the stealers! Local parts may be a bit more than OS, but I'll pay a bit more for the convenience of quick supply. But that is where the dealers let you down. Pay 500% markup, ($1179 for a clockspring vs $260 on the doorstep in a week from JeepsAreUs), AND you have to wait for it to come from their warehouse THEN pick it up yourself...
