I think you can set up a thermo fan controller using the radiator probe style ones from Ebay. They are adjustable.
I would be interested in what people are using.
I have an old DirtBound Offroad version that has a thermo probe in the heater pipe, and has two switches that turn the fans on at a pre determined temperatures.

Cheers

I ordered a Davies Craig adjustable controller #0444.
I'll run the centre fan of the existing fan control and the other 2 of the new controller.
Another option is a dual circuit thermo switch, but will see how this thing goes first.

No cup holders in a 96, will need to find a way to hold my Latte.- yeah sometimes it's the little things.
dude, a PO on my white one has just screwed a single stubby holder-like thingy straight into the "woodgrain dash"...just below and to LH of radio...not what I would have first thought of doing, but simple and effective

Awesome!
I'm trying something a little more elegant, involves re-stacking the centre dash. Moving the have controls up, adding a touch screen entertainment thing, deleting the AC vent and putting in a pop out holder and drawer.
Will post pics but it looks like a huge mess right now.

The radiator is done
The fans are done
The Davies Craig controller is done and so far it all works.

A bit of messing around to fir the new radiator, I had to "trim" the top crossmember around the cap and run new trans cooler lines as the internal cooler is on the LHS.

To keep things tidy I added some new wiring into the factory fuse box, taken from a wreck.
A bit of messing around but it used the empty fuse spaces and looks factory.

While I was at it I rewired the existing the driving light relay and mounted a pair of KCs
With all this going on I also added some stainless mesh inside the grille.

Seems the list is just getting longer, had to get some plastic bits from Poly 4x4, window switches, horn switch cover, rear seat latch bits.
It's coming together slowly.

Will post some pics of the install and the fuse box parts.

Trawling through my storage container and finally found the Warn Bar I bought for the last XJ I had. It got a little wet in the last 9 years but still new in the (soggy) box.
Warn don't make these things anymore and couldn't find the instructions but worked out what fitted where and so now have a nice solid steel park bench on the front of the XJ.
The main brackets extend back about 400mm and everything bolts through existing holes.
There are 2 additional brackets that brace from the frame rails to the centre of the bar.
12 bolts attach the brackets to the Jeep, 14 bolts attach the bar to the brackets. This thing won't be going anywhere!
The winch is in the shed, still figuring out what to do with the solenoid box...
