Very good given that to reco used heads that are still repairable would probably run to $1000-$1200 aud.

You still need to use your old valves, cams, lifters etc. And a machinist will need to reface your old valves and depending how handy you are you could reassemble them or have the machine shop do it.

Good price Hoobz.
I'll catch up later today if you're available.

That price is cheaper than buying the camshaft alone from most places.

Thanks Doug.

You're welcome Ruffy, that's what the forums are for, mates helping mates. [emoji41]

I think the HO heads go in and out of availability due to much lower cast numbers. I'm guessing they wait until there is no stock left on the major retailers shelves before casting more, in contrast to the standard heads which are in pretty constant demand so are cast regularly and in much larger numbers.
On that subject, can HO heads go on a std motor?

If I may,

Have them decked to up compression.
Port and polish
Performance valve springs and new lifters.
HO camshafts custom grind to high street performance.
Mod factory throttle body into a 70MM throttle body
12 hole injectors.

A co-worker had his WJ 4.7 rebuilt last year with (I think) ford injectors, bigger throttle body, cam etc Spent $5k and then he killed the auto. Sat in driveway ever since.

I'm fairly sure he would part with it if he got the right offer.
