Adblue Grands not here in Oz just some Wranglers I think but it can be just as big a pain in the arse as a DPF, find yourself in limp mode because a poxy sensor gives a wrong reading .... or someone puts the juice in the wrong hole, now thats a big worry.
All this anti pollution stuff is just ad hoc, knee jerk reaction to things like Euro 5/6/7

With the type of driving you've described, diesel for sure. It's a damn good engine and a sweetheart for towing. Regular knowledgeable servicing should keep it all sweet. I never listen to anecdotal 'opinions' from non-owners and never let a dealer fiddle with her.

Absolutely agree. Just a sales gimmick IMO. I prefer to go by time not distance. I change oil and filter every 6 months and full service at 12 mths or 10k.

That's actually what the service schedules say anyway mate. Time or distance driven, whichever occurs first.

Mine gets done at 10K, so about every 3 months, ignore some of their exceedingly long service intervals, 40K for a fuel filter no wonder some people have problems.

Yeah I know, but I never reach the km's before the time, so distance never comes into it for me. Same schedule for all my cars. In real terms I'd never cover 10k km in 12 mths in any of them, I mix them around so each one never gets big distances.
