I just went through this too,

Had a spare about 3 years old brand new tyre on full sized alloy, fitted to the right rear after rotation and was showing front right not registering.

Easy way to fault find is let a little pressure out of each corner one at a time and see which corner goes down on your display. This will quickly show which sensor is in fault. In my scenario after a tyre rotation it was the spare fitted to the right rear that was faulty ( no sensor fitted actually) but on my display it was showing front right as no pressure fault.

Purchased a new Mopar sensor from Jeep for $114 and had Bob Jane fit it for $20, within 5 klms all good and back to normal.

Be careful with aftermarket Ebay stuff you never know what you are buying, some times it works out some times you burn your cash. in this instance sounds like you had a win, now see if the replacement lasts 7 years

Yep, some E-Bay stuff can be dodgy but in my case it won't have to last 7 years but only about 3-4 years till the next tyre change after this one, in which case another $50 and I am good to go again. I will be due for some new rubber in about a month so will replace the other 3 tyre sensors then.

Yep, all are clearly date stamped so asking a seller prior to purchase is the protection you need. As I got caught with 6 year old ones. Only one worked out of 4. Due to age of course

After I read your post I checked my 3 remaining ones and they are date stamped 12/19 so should last until the next following set of tyres, the faulty one was stamped 08/13 so it was one of the original set fitted.

Having said all that I probably will have changed the vehicle by then anyway.
