Any recommendations for the fronts ?
I would go the same brand of springs/shocks as the back then, they should match up and work in harmony, just make sure the front springs are not the lighter ones for a petrol, I would go the heavier spring rate as these things are heavy suckers on the front, if you go the softer version you will more than likely find they will sag quickly ............ some seem to be scared the HD will give them a harsh ride, it doesn't really it keeps the engine from the bump stops, adjusting tyre pressure correctly for the tyres fitted goes a long way to better ride as well... the tyre placard pressures are way off the mark, and get a proper align done not a tyre shop job..

I have an ECB alloy bar, supposed to be 35kgs, stainless steel bash plates at 30kg, Front Axle max loading is 1452kg, so with 2 bums on seats its 8kg over with 18lts less fuel ......... Mine in just town running mode is 2.62t with 2 bums,320kg till GVM is hit .............. Put another way they have little allowance for loading and their load capacity is quickly eaten into when you add even things like floor mats, racks and even the tow hitch and bar.....certainly go the HD springs..

Not sure if i just need to change the whole front struts or just the shockies?
I know the height on the passenger side is supposed to be about 495mm but is sitting about 450mm.
Local jeep guys reckon you only need to replace the shockies usually.

Springs, shocks and upper plate 'usually' come with the lift kit...but....thats the kits I have researched...others with less 'goodies' I simply put in the...'no thanks basket'...I took Drovers advice and am fitting an Iron Man lift...he runs it and swears by it...good enough recommendation for me...not ridiculously 'stiff' and provides adequate lift n cushion...neither of us are 'wheels in the air, body bending...hold my beer' off roaders, but both tow 'relatively heavy' vans

Since you can compress a shockie by just leaning on it it stands to reason sitting over a ton on them will certainly push them to rock bottom , they do not carry load they just take the shock out of the suspension movement.... Springs carry the vehicle be they coil of leaf........

I would ignore the sage advice of the locals, at least just change the springs then at least you will get the height back.... Kings spring about $200.

as mentioned , had the rear shockies done with KYB self levelling shocks so i guess im after pretty much a pretty factory type suspension.
Im trying to figure out is it better to get complete strut units or get the Sachs
replacement shockies and springs separately.?
Do Sachs sell complete strut units for a 2014 gc diesel?
Ive heard alot of aftermarket struts have issues with the stops not fitting right?
