Pita really...the other 2 thermostats, both 98 degree, tested similar on the bench...but the original one opened fully I'd say, where as the brand new genuine one wasn't opening fully...fat chance of getting my money back unfortunately...

Fat chance is still a chance....maybe next time you order through them....or shoot em email now as a 'heads up'...tell em the new product was shyte and maybe they could sweeten your next deal with a li'l 'something' in recompense....only something I'd do...not sayin it worx everytime...just isnt a straight out...I want my money back....which can lead to 'complications' if you use that supplier again....jus sayin

I'll be having a chat to 7 Slot as they ordered it in for me...being I had them do the whole job for the warranty thing.
But bugger it, spending a fortune through workshops has serious knobs on it, it isn't what I am accustomed to doing.
I have already told them the thing ran even hotter than before when they put the new one in!

It is going in to a Dealer...brrrrr...in a couple of weeks to have the W58 recall carried out and I'll have them also do the T01 "Customer satisfaction" update carried out to shut the cooling fan up...and check the temps the fan comes on.

I feel your pain there mate...you have said the dealership workshop foreman and yourself have a 'repore'...so at least you have that on your side....as recalls can only be done by dealerships...it is what it is....GOOD LUCK !
