I was reading on the "Jeep Grand Cherokee Caravanners Australia" site on FaceBook that you can use the Mackay CH999 hose for the DPF cooler coolant hose. Just wondering if anyone on here has used it, only around $20??
It doesn't appear to have 2 different diameter sizes, but i haven't seen one in the flesh. It may well slide onto the larger plastic fittings OK at the cooler end.
Just wondering!!

That hose has 16mm ID ends, 170mm long but I can't find anything on the size of the Jeep hose, 68253365AA most annoying, pics of the Jeep hose don't seem to show a difference in size............. comparable hose to the Mackay hose is a Dayco DMH999 or a Gates 02-0943 .

Now if someone can confirm the ID size of the Mopar hose we will be on a winner but with any hose the best place to find one is the hose bin at an auto store just compare dimensions.

Hi all, I know this might be a little late but anyone needing an alternative hose for this small EGR Coolant Hose, I replaced mine with Universal Z-hose, ZHB15C, Calibre branded hose at autoparts store. I cut the lenght needed and the bend fit perfectly. Hose suits 15-16mm ID.
Picture below for reference
For refernce, you can also do the same with the coolant return hose at the back under the turbo, similar shape, lesser degree bend, and a 12mm ID nose instead, but same universal z-bend. Pics below also. Hope that helps.

Way to go, another handy spare...

Mentioned in other threads but I have listed in my Parts Book;

EGR Cooler Hose; Mackay CH998C. Gates 02-0943 should as well.

Oil Cooler Hose: Mackay CH2280C needs a trim on length though.

both common hoses....

Thats what the hose we mentioned actually is for....... Have seen this site mentioned on Yank sites for the earlier thread when we pointed it out....

The hose bin is a great source of reasonably priced bits..

not sure what jeep charge for the egr hose but i found a
hose with the same bend and two diameter sizes.
All you need to do is cut it to size.
Listed as an engine by pass hose for Ford falcon EF 4.9 V8 petrol.
Part number CH998c.
About $15.
As a matter of interest i note some of the early 3l eco diesels also had a metal fitting to the egr not plastic like the later ones.
