Or you could start with this

Originally an early build '99 WJ, fully loaded Limited, Bright Platinum Metallic, QuadraDrive, non upcountry, purchased new in October '98.

Mods: Rubicon Express Long Arm suspension lift (Burnsville Offroad, MN did most of the work), Sunray Engineering (Weatherford, TX, tweaking and all future mods) 1-ton Hybrid Ford 9 inch 35 spline Axles, Detroit lockers front and rear, hex housing rear, high pinion shaved ford nine inch front, 15" rims, 37x12.5 Goodyear MT/Rs, spare inside, Atlas II transfer case, custom 3" exhaust including racing muffler and super high flow cat, and custom intake mods. AGR rock ram hydraulically assisted steering, heavy duty fan clutch upgrade, gen II ARB bullbar welded, smoothed and painted. Custom skids, Kevin's tubular sliderz.

And still.... if that 'aint rubbin' at the rear of the front wheel I'm a monkey's uncle (just call me "Unckey Jimp") ... and i have a feeling that he couldn't turn the front wheels when articulated like that either...

As you've gathered by the other posts, WJ's aren't designed to have the kind of radical suspension and wheel setups as TJ's are (without radical money ). If you're a Jeep club member ARB should fit an OME suspension kit for less than $1400, but this is only 40mm over standard for the WJ's (I think most others are 50mm). You may be able to convince them to add in 10mm packers, however apparently this can cause vibrations that are more annoying than the additional 10mm in clearance (I'm told, I have this kit without packers). One of the other issues you'll find with the WJ, is that even with this kit, you can't go any wider with tyres without inner guard (or worse) modification so 245/75/16 (30.6" vs 29.5" with the standard 245/70/16's) is your best bet. If you want to go above that, I think you're looking at twice the price for starting the suspension...and of course then you've got the dollars for the tyres.

If you want to tame things done a bit from the 35" point you started at, check out the recent forum in this area that I started and used when making my owbn similar decisions recently.

Good luck.

Dunno where you're looking at getting these, but here's a site with centipede sizes:

http://www.offroad.au.com/products/T...me-Trekker.cfm

Another option you may want to look at, STI import the US brand MAXXIS and has only this year started to have passenger and 4WD tyres available. I have the OME kit and MAXXIS Buckshot Mudders (245/75R16).

I don't whether you're located in Melbourne or not, but a number of Tyre joints are now stocking the MAXXIS tyres (which include Mudzilla and Creepy Crawler for any CJ, TJ or other sicko's out there ) but if you want to check them out www.maxxis.com, or go straight to the Buckshot page on the US Maxxis site:

http://www.maxxis.com/automotive/pro...sp?BrandID=153

For those sicko's that want to know, here's a picture of the Creepy Crawler...it "starts" at 35x12.5/15 and goes through to 38.5x14.5/16

I run the tearflex 50 mm pucks and no vibration
im sure you can go high but then you need to space your belly pan down
which kinda deffets the purpose
