and everyone seems to forget that they where lowered an inch after a year or so at the factory due to idiots rolling them on the highways.

My 02 still sat 2inches higher than a KJ with a 3.5 OME kit when all I was running where the 2.5 phukster lift from daystar.

say what ? When I was selling Jeep, the KJ had just come out. Yes the petrol's sat a tad higher, but it wasnt much - It was the 2.5 CRD that sat a good 1.5" - 2" higher than the others, not all of them. Ltd's always seemed about 1/2 an inch lower than the rest, but that's probably cause they were fully loaded with Sunroof's ect.

???????? What was the others if were not the petrol or deisel???????. LOL
Pre 03 sat 25mm higher in all models, LTD was a softer spring rate than the sports or CRD.

Picked up my 06 CRD having had an OME kit fitted today. Followed Wilmo's advice & had 927's on the front & went for 948's on the rear (instead of 947's) as we regularly tow an off-road camper with ball weight around 120 kg. The lift has been equal front & rear and left to right at 60mm (went from 687 to 747 lower rim to guard) Guys at ARB Bendigo even commented it was unusual to have a vehicle so even pre- & post- lift. I let you know how it settles in the coming weeks. Initial impression is the ride is a little rouger as you would expect with stronger rear springs. Looks great & isn't that what counts!!!???

I'm talking year models and if you where selling jeeps you would/should have been aware that they where an inch higher from the factory (all models I believe) pre "02.

And yep it was higher than the OME kitted one (I have piccies at home somewhere to prove it) and it was with the spacer lift, running 245's.

When the Skyjacker kit went in I lost the extra "standard" height and I've not had it parked near any other lifted KJ's since and as I use my real jeeps for off roading even when we do join the KJ's for the picnic days I've not been able to compare it.

I might get out to the SJC meeting next month and get some comparison pics with the new tyres and now older kit next to the other KJ's that have recently joined.

2. Other petrol KJ's that I have seen were much different.
One 40mm and another 55mm.
I have read in many places that DC use upto a dozen different spring set ups on vehicles so of course the height difference to start with will be different.
So in me describing what the outcome on my own vehichle was and you describing what the final out come was on your vehicle would hardly be considered as mis-information perpetrated online. At the end of the day this is a public forum people ask question and we all describe what we have done and report what the outcome was.
Its still mis-information. 70mm , 40mm and 55mm doesn't describe the final lift height of the vehicles. Yes they all could have changed by that amount due to being different to begin with. They may actually be exactly the same lower rim to wheel arch now, that's why measuring 'change' is subjective.

The only measurement that should be quoted is arch to lower wheel rim. If one was 740, the other 710, and the other 720, then its time to question either the consistency of the spring manufacture, or how heavy it is (ie what accessories it has installed or whether its a CRD or Petrol motor).
