thanks again for your help.. yes im not stupid about the Live axle front ends on the hilux.. what idiot can even call a IFS a 4wd... unless its actually able to go places..

there are alot of Suzi drivers here in SA.. (Poofs) and little school boys who cant afford a wrangler or hilux.. so i drive a XJ haha. alot of the rich school kids have $30,000 extreemly modded Tj's which last about 2 months before its ritten off or they cant afford it.

i get away with my XJ as its on LPG haha. ive got a 2" lift comming soon thanks to a member off here. but a 96 XJ is too costly to repair compared to a car i can right off if i like..

im 18 and on my P's so thats no problem and i also wouldnt mind driving up to NSW for an event.. its good to get out of Crapelaide as it sucks.. nothing to do..

Update.... My dad went and bought me a Hilux without me even asking.. man im really thanful of his.. its stock alloy tray top but on LPG what a bonus.. i havnt seen it yet as he has it but ill get it soon.. and its a live axle so no IFS.. easier to lift woohoo! looks like im gonna hav fun with this lil project.. atm im gonna be going the basic mods.. Lift, Tyres (got 31x12.5) and get rid of the side pannels on the tray.. then start the more detailed stuff later..

im gonna have to watch it tho! my jeep when lifted in my driveway after putting 31's on to try didnt fit under the roller door so off they went and i drove out then had to put em back on so im gonna have t watch the roof height..

but thats it for the update.. i hope it all goes well..

cheers

Mate I always wonder why people take the dropsides of their trays. It pretty much renders the tray useless.

Good luck with the project and I hope it goes to plan.
