I bought ours at the caravan and camping show for $995. For that we got the fridge, low lid, high lid, and the transit bag. The lids are designed to be used as seats (strong). For another $125 you can get the 75mm collar and basket that will increase the volume to 52l with the high lid. Len is a really nice guy and is the WA distributor. He does all the warranty work (local ) if needed, and is contactable 24/7.
I dont have a dual battery set up yet so I got him to adjust the battery monitor reasonably high. He did it right there in his tent at the show and took all of 5 minutes. When I get my dual batteries I'll go back and see him and get the voltage setpoint reduced to allow the fridge to run even longer. Len claims to have run a fridge at -4c for 5 1/2 days off a 100 a/h battery.
Hope this helps
Matt
I t all helps mate! trying to make an educated decision (for a change)

all the new danfos fridges easily do 100ah in 5 1/2 days, if you notice the testing they have done it at 24degrees instead of like 30-34 like waeco and engel do, you get more volume for the price with waeco.
Danfos Compressors are wholly owned by Waeco, and supply the majority of 12v fridge manufacturers, except for Engel which use a Swing brand compressor.
I have a Waeco 35l as only one that fits in wrangler back seat
have family and friends with Engel, waeco and bushman
the engel is very reliable and tough as
the waeco due to being plastic isn't as tough but hasn't let any of us done yet and eaqsier to lift and move around
the bushman is seems to have all the good stuff and heaps cheaper than both - having extensions and higher lids - but is heavier than both
it would depend on whether you leaving in car permanently or need to move it around
If have to move around go waeco if not go bushman - engel are over priced but a great unit
