Then why don' t you buy one here and send it over??? You get a lot more features in a CRD Vs your 6cyl... All the stuffing around cutting and shutting you want to do, just buy an 03 on wards, you'll get the motor you want plus everything else, curtain airbags, newer seats, the new dash and everything (im guessing your 6 cyl is a 2000 or 2001) sorry if im wrong....

That would be a cheaper alternative i reckon????? Plus you get a vacation while your hunting for your JEEP in aus! You could even go wheeling in our fine outback while your here!

sounds mega expensive to me
no way you'd EVER recoup the costs in less fuel use
I mean 30grand for the car, thousands to ship it, all the conversion costs, taxes etc etc etc

Would be cool though. Like having a RHD postal Jeep, but the Luxury Grand edition
