Its no Porshe... but it handles quite nicely.. It now feels heavier and takes longer to brake etc but you adjust your driving to suit... overall im very happy with how its turned out

Upgrade the brakes using the BA kit. I got my XJ already with 31s on, and with the upgrade, it isn't such a pig to stop.

That said, my driving style altered to make use of the extra braking as well.

What setup have you gone with the control arms?

Yep, get the BA front kit, with 32's on mine and the upgraded front kit the brakes are still better than stock. Well worth the money. In fact I was thinking of doing the rears as well but to be honest I dont think there is a real need now.

Cheers
Steve

I have given the BA brake upgrade a bit of thought actually... at about $1k it will have to wait a little while until i can recover from the cost of the lift and 32's

Thats one thing i have never understood... why bring out the XJ with drums?! to keep the cost down? It was a $53k car new...the cost should have been well covered Ive always thought the brakes were definitely not up to scratch.. that will be the next splurge no doubt.

Breyten, I have used the RE Adjustable LCA's with the stock uppers for now, replacing all bushes as i go.
