Carefully remove one or both of the small cover strips (bezels) directly underneath the instrument cluster (either side of the steering column and just like the little piece straight above the glovebox).
Use a plastic spatula or cake spoon because they are tough to spring the clips and the plastic will eliminate damage from screw drivers etc.
Behind these bezels there are couple of spots to fit a switch once you dremel a hole through it.
One suggestion anyhow...

Just a note on the headlight upgrades guys and gals.

Please be aware that upgrades do not last as long as normal globes, that’s the benefit you trade, so in six months when your crystal visions or blue visions go kaput, its because they just wont last as long. So if your doing lots of offroading expect to replace the globes soon.

The best two globes manufacture's globally are Phillips and Osram, recommendation is Phillips all they way. Osram from experience are not that great. Narva, Tungstram, Trifa are second tier and OK if you dont want to spend the bucks. Tungstram is actually GE and they are looking into getting some great stuff soon, however GE still aint all that great in Automotive.

Anything else is crap from Taiwan or China, although PIAA are OK too.

Diamond Visions from Phillips are Illegal for on road use and don’t give you any more light output anyway - they just make you headlights look like they are HID.

HID conversions are also Illegal for on road use as well unless you have Washers and a leveling system installed. If the HID lights "Dazzle" oncoming traffic, your in the poo big time if the boys in blue pass you. If your going to HID the Cherokee lights, go for the lowest colour temperature and do some "Dazzle' tests to make sure. Also because the KJ is H4 you need to ensure you have a good quality HID globe as they usually use a solenoid mechanism to change from High to low and sometimes it can fail. Phillips H4 HID kits are the best, no question about it what so ever, but your looking at major bucks for these. Be careful about cheap kits on eBay, you really need to look for something that has been proven. Also ensure you can buy globes and ballasts and starter replacements too.

Thats my two cents worth

Where are you getting your information from? There is no mention of this on their advertising, but then again why would they? Would be nice if it said for offroad applications only or something.
