if you're gonna do more sand work, forget the muddies, go an all terrain for sure!

the ATs that we got on our 07 JK did fine in everything except for mud - which is to be expected

good thing we got some baja claws just in the last week - just in time for camp coffs with all this epic rain they're having

Wrangler - I have run MT ATZ (ATR's), Bighorns, Goodyear MTR's and MT Radial Baja Claws.......

If money isn't an object and you dont mind the downside of muddies - get some.

Tyres are a personal thing - especially when you want a sand and mud tyre that apparently has minimal mileage impact - good luck and call the tyre companies when you find one - they will pay money for the design

I think if you arent changing the size of the tyre then muddies might give you a 0.5l/100km increase. When you think about it, that's only about an extra $120 over the whole year (based on $1.20 p/l for diesel and 10l/100km) if you do 20,000km a year. That's $2.10 a week.
The fuel cost is so bloody insignificant, it's just the noise you should be worrying about. If that doesn't bother you, go for it!
