no turns dvd on extra camera functions etc...ebay mainly, forget the gps side of things at thsi stage, cant see them paying for new maps at navteq at this time, fyi the new models of mygigs are now made by mitsubishi so you maybe lucky and get one of those, so hold off on the lockpic first, i understand the new ones use diffrent gps software and maps so you may be lucky

Just picked up a Grand Cherokee 2 weeks ago (Late July 2010). It definitely still has Navteq system. It says to go the navteq website to get updates and the website says go to Chrysler.

I asked the dealer about map updates today and they said to go to "Jeep Online" as they don't provide the maps. Turns out there is no such website but they did succeed in getting me out of the dealership so I guess they are happy.

your dealership can get the map updates for the mygig navunits they retail for $39 but seeing that you only picked the car up 2 weeks ago (i assume it's a new 2010 wh) then you should hit your salesman up to upgrade it for free seeing you just spent all this money with them

What's the map database for other people?

I have no maps for other countries apart from Australia and the tip of PNG (which doesn't show any roads)
my MyGig also says fpr map updates, go to www.navteq.com, but that website says I need to go to Chrysler for an update. How did you buy "updated" maps? And where does it say 2008 on them?

The only Mygig mapping software and update we currently have in stock is late 2009 mapping to my knowledge, the part number is K8220NMQ208 and is relatively cheap $42.00 over the parts counter here, comes with two or three update discs I cant remember been a while since I opened one.

There is a way to check what your version you have in you Mygig I think it is in System Info you may need to check with your local dealership Technicians to be sure.

Hope this helps
