I see you don't have a spare strapped to the roof so how does the larger tyre fit the spare tyre well?

Cheers and thanks for the great pics!
Hey mate as posted before they are 265/75 bfg m/t, Spare wheel dont fit in the tyre well! just had seats down and sitting in the back.. As for rubbing, with the 2' there is no much rubbing, none on the actual outer metal guard. At full lock there is slight rubbing. The plastic inside the guards I spaced out and seemed to do the trick! Still abit of rubbing when full flex but not enough for me to worry about as it was only on the plastic... hope that helps abit mate, Its definately do-able to get no rubbing if you have a bit of time... What lift are you running?

On another note, Has anyone managed to switch there abs?? When offroad it seemed boarderline dangerous as the brakes would just not engage sometimes? or am i doing something wrong?!
Cheers!

Hey bud,

thanks for the info; I run a 2" Old Man Emu lift (40mm + 10mm spacers), at this stage I really want to use that wheel well as I don't want to lose the space and can't fit my car in our tiny garage with wheel on top/back. Good to know that these tyres fit with a 2"lift though; does anyone else know if a 265/70 x16 will fit that spare tyre well?

Been reading a bit more on U.S. sites about your tyre size with some having issues with rub under flex. I'm now also wondering if you ever tried fitting your spare in the stock location aired down at all?

Im running a toggle switch inline with the ABS fuse under the d/side dash.
Remove original fuse , connect switch then new fuse holder then put spade terminals on new wire & plug back into original fuse block.
Note; only for offroad use. Also will bring up warning lights but everything else will still work ok,if you start stop too many times with it switched off youll get a fault code.

You only need to pull the relay in the power box by the battery: it is labeled. 265's wont fit in the tyre well even when flat.

Big negative on the spare with no air, will give it a try over the weekend and give you an answer! The offroad work I did on the weekend there was no real flex involved so when I Flex up to front and rear properly ill let you know the definitive answer, I dont see it being to hard to stop the rubbing completely its not rubbing in any major structual points if that makes sence..

Sweet will definately be doing that! The warning light only on when the toggle switch is off?

Yeah only when off, But will bring up ABS ,check engine, park brake & brake warning lights.
Doesnt seem to trigger fault code (check eng light) straight away but if you start & stop motor too many times (maybe 1/2 dozen) it will.To get rid of code you need to disconect battery or just wait & it will reset after a certain number of start/stops.
