another update on things....
The new Nitrocharger Sport shocks on the trailer made a big difference, but the feedback from the old man who had been following me was that whilst it was alot better from the swaying point of view, if i hit a big enough bump or hole, it would still move a little bit - and given that i dont really want to make the springs any stiffer (after all, it is only a trailer) i needed to come up with something that could help eliminate the sway.
discussing this with a family friend, he suggested i consider an anti-sway bar for it - a bit out there, but it made sense!
upon some more thought, i decided to give K-MAC at Rockdale a call - they had an 'off the shelf' design for the rear of an 01 Hilux. full bolt on kit, no drilling holes required - beautiful! make me one!
picked it up last saturday morning, and fitted it after work.
gave it a bit of a tug from side to side, but hard to tell how much difference it will make when its sitting in the garage goin no where.
the first test for the sway bar now wont be till the holiday in less then a months time - hopefully it elminates the last of the sway.
not the best design for a 4wd!
but given that its only a trailer, hopefully it works.
here are a few pics....
