didnt have time to degrease this arvo but greased everything that had a nipple on it....on the car that is and checked diff oil levels. front had oil poring from it and the rear was nearly a pinky finger down.. bummer is i only have straight gear oil and i think i have a lsd.( crosses up very well) would topping up with straight gear oil - 80w 90 i think - hurt anything until i could get some with friction modifier?? would prob be 100 odd k's. i know its a no-no, but would just topping up hurt??

cheers

ps. quite bazzar, but when i removed the filler plug on the front diff, a flat washer was stuck to it in the goo. dunno where that come from??

Replacement front headlights, all the backs of the old ones had rusted out badly. Put the road terrain tires back on to satisfy the little lady driving it around town. Wired up the spotlights and fused the 2nd thermo fan. Moved the rear number plate light as it was miles from the plate (since the spare was mounted on the rear). Interior lights still need to be replaced (not getting any power). All drivetrain has been installed and serviced. Only a Gas Certificate and a set of headers between me and a RWC!

Hey Brugzz351. rear diff will be Lsd unless it is a classic, normally have a metal tag on the rear cover. The rear diff oil should be 80/140 not 90. 90w is ok for the front.

yeah, there is 2 tags on the rear diff. 1 is on the left, held by 2 cover bolts vertically. the other is on the RHS bottom and held by 1 bolt. both ineligible. yes, mine is a classic.... does this mean open diff??

cheers
