Some guys have got 150K on the clock with no issues. Others have gone with less than 40K. 2010+MY seem to have re-inforced hoses which should last longer, however they are still rubber and still weep oil, which will inevitabley degrade the rubber to a point where one or both will fail. Only time will tell. I see silicone hoses as insurance. And given that stock hoses are the only real achilles heel of the 2.8vm diesel, aftermarket replacements make a great motor near perfect. IMHO.

Yeh i guess i'll have to get in there and have a look and see how much oil is weeping through, Thats pretty much the only thing i have found really to be wrong with the auto diesels from my research and i don't want to really experience limp mode 300k's from anywhere just abit of insurance really... besides blue turbo pipes would look the shiz! I will get back to you tomorrow with my decision.

Cheers,
Matt
