Gidday clarky. Not the one unfortunately. It would have been a nongrooved idler coz Tue back of the belt rolled on it.
Hopefully cbc can match it just need outside diameter of idler. Mackay jeep has quoted $645 so will see how we go.

Thanks valpacer. I've made some progress. Jeep parts Guy was useless so I asked him to show my pics on my phone to one of their mechanics. So it turns out that the part is the idler that is between the tensioner and the harmonic balancer. They couldn't find a part number coz you have to buy it with a new tensioner assembly. Mechanic was able to source a dayco part number 131081 so Cbc have found it but they list it compatible to xj and wh. If anyone can give me an outside diameter of the idler cbc can confirm with what's left of mine, the bearing, plus the OD.
Thanks for your interest and help folks.

Default PART 2 - water pump idler melt-down

Woohoo - all fixed and back on the road.
First of all thanks to those that to the time to reply with advice and assistance, really appreciate the interest.
Here's how the solution came about.
It turns out nothing to do with the water pump - sorry for misleading info in original post. It was the idler pulley between tensioner and harmonic balance shown by my pointing finger in belt lay-out picture.
Jeep could only supply with new tensioner and wanted over $500. Jeep mechanic found Dayco part number 131081. CBC didn't have one in stock. Went to local generic shop called Bursons and they cross matched the Dayco to this NuLine pulley part number EP007. Got it off their shelf for ........wait for it.......$33.00.
I'll put these part numbers in the appropriate thread for future reference.
To comply with this thread rules, What did I do to my Grand today? Fitted new idler pulley and got the grand back on the road.

Now if only we could find cheap atf+4 somewhere. Finally got around to servicing the transmission on the WG today. Was about $53 for the two filters and $185 for 9 ltres of oil :-/ and that was trade price.
